This full day workshop will provide training for teachers of the is for teachers of the Framework Global Framework U.S. History and Government who will be scoring the first administration of the Framework U.S. Regents examination this June 2020. The Part II stimulus based short essay questions rubrics will be illustrated and Part III civic literacy document based essay process and rubrics will be illustrated. The group will utilize the released sample scoring materials.(Part 154 ELL issues will be covered. This course may be used for the Part 154/ELL requirement NYSED CTLE.) This is a NYSED Continuing Teacher Leader Education (CTLE) course. It may be used for the 100 hour requirement.)
2020 STOP HATE CONTEST AND SYMPOSIUM SUMMARY
The 3rd annual Symposium is Tuesday, April 28th from 4 to 7:30PM at Washingtonville HS.
It is open to teachers and their students in grades 7‐12.
The theme is “ Acts of Moral Courage”
Teachers are encouraged to publicize and use as a classroom assignment

- Abigail Miller, educator at the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance & Education at Rockland County Community College.
Dinner will be provided. There is no fee for teachers or students.
During the afternoon students will be given the opportunity to view this year’s Stop Hate Contest submissions.
Submissions of essays, posters, poetry, children’s books, graphic novellas, plays or podcast, songs or PSA must be received by March 31, 2020.
Media projects can be submitted by a group.
Prizes will be awarded at the Symposium:
- Middle School winner‐ $200
- High School winner‐ $200
- Each winner’s teacher will be awarded $100
The symposium is sponsored by a generous grant of the Zachor Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County.
